Using the Drop Tester

  • Calibration of the drop tester
    • Before the test cycles, the tester is calibrated to meet the requirements of chosen test method. The calibration is done using the acceleration sensor and PC oscilloscope. Oscilloscope is using acceleration sensor to measure the shock. During the calibration normally three parameters are being observed: peak acceleration, pulse duration and pulse shape.

  • Calibration of the drop tester
    • These can be monitored in the PC oscilloscope user interface and the results are also logged in a data file for further analysis. The analysis is done using specific data processing software delivered with the drop tester and the PC oscilloscope (Drop Converter Software).
    • The specifications for measured parameters
